Quinn Gee is from Clarksdale, MS, a current resident of Washington D.C, and began practicing psychotherapy in 2014. Quinn is an alumna of the University of Mississippi, holds a BA in Psychology, an MS in Professional Counseling, and is currently a PhD candidate with a focus on advanced human behavior.
Her areas of professional focus include women’s issues (such as relationships and codependency), intersectionality, healthy sexuality, gender identity, sexual orientation and race based trauma. Quinn has devoted thousands of hours to working with marginalized persons, including private practice, mental health hospitals, and outpatient therapy services, since beginning her professional career in 2014.
She has appeared on panels, shows, and podcasts due to her unique clinical approach to mental health and her stance on minority-related and intersectional issues. She has also been featured in minority and mental health friendly publications like The Mighty, Buzzfeed, and XO Jane. Quinn was a featured speaker for Explore More Summit 2018 and Bowie State University’s SAS Conference 2018. She is also an essayist in How We Fight White Supremacy: A Guide to Black Resistance.
Quinn’s goal is to bring awareness of stigmatized issues to marginalized communities.
